Cattleya amethystoglossa ('H&R Supreme" AM/AOS x 'Orchidglade'
AM/AOS)
This large sized Cattleya species is found in Bahia, Minas Gerais and
Pernambuco states of Brazil. It is an epiphyte at that will
tolerate a wide range of temperatures. This species needs ample
light, water and fertilizer while growing and a definite rest when in
dormancy. Flowers are pleasantly fragrant.

Cattleya gaskelliana 'Superior' x self
Native to: Columbia, Venezuela. Cattleya gaskelliana is found
growing on trees or rocks between 2,300 to 3,300 feet (750 and 1000
meters) in elevation in the Eastern Coastal Mountain Range, the
Cordillera de la Costa in Columbia. It has been found in three
Venezuelan provinces, northeastern Anzuategui, southern Sucre, and
northern Monagas. Cattleya gaskelliana grows in tropical, humid
cloud forests and somewhat drier areas where it grows on rocks in nearly

Cattleya maxima var. coerulea
('Alexandra' x self)
This is a selfing of a relatively rare form of this variant. Probability
is very high that it will bloom out a true blue-lavender. Plants are in

Cattleya skinneri x self
Native to Central America. It is found
in southern Mexico, Guatemala and Honduras into El Salvador, Nicaragua
and Costa Rica growing in wet montain forests from sea level to 1200
meters. It grows on tree branches in open forests and is quite common
in its native range. These plants are 2 years away from blooming in 4.5

Cattleya trianae x self
The normal colored form is the National Flower, of Colombia. This Cattleya
species is a temperature tolerant epiphyte occurring in all 3 cordillera
of Colombia. The large, fragrant, flower appears in the winter.

Cattleya walkeriana var. alba
The white form of this Brazilian species. The plant is a very
compact and may only reach 6-8" in height at maturity. The large
flowers, however, can be up to 4" or more in spread, and are sweetly
fragrant as well. C. walkeriana flowers are almost always produced at
the top of a leafless growth which, after blooming, looks like a small
aborted pseudobulb. This species has rambling habit, and is
well-suited to basket or a mount culture. If it must be grown in a pot,
a coarse medium must be used to compensate for the larger pots required
to contain the growths. C. walkeriana generally blooms in late winter to
early spring, but may bloom again in the fall with good culture.
