We are getting inquiries about the 2010 Summer Orchid Fest so it is time to communicate our plans to everyone.

   First, let us say that we appreciate the support of everyone who participated in the Summer Orchid Fest for the past 12 years.  To our vendors, loyal customers and friends, we say Thank you.  It has been a successful event for a long time.   Despite the current economic woes we had a great year in 2009. 

   However, we have decided that we will no longer host the Summer Orchid Fest at Parkside Orchid Nursery.  If you know us, you can be sure that we have given this long and serious consideration and have made our decision after discussing many issues and points of view.  Our personal and professional goals and objectives have changed considerably in the past year or two and we are making decisions that will scale back our professional obligations and enhance our personal lives.  We are not getting any younger and we want to enjoy life while we can!

   In recent years the idea to host the Orchid Fest in a different location has come up from time to time.  This is the time for someone else to take the leadership role and develop a new and exciting Summer Orchid Fest for the Growers and orchid loving public in our area.   We will certainly lend our support if asked.

   As soon as we have information about plans for 2010, we will post them here on our website.  We hope to see you there, as one of the vendors!!
