Doritis pulcherrima var. champorensis 'White'
This is the only species in this genus, but it is highly variable and represented by these two forms. Plant in a 4 inch pot, $25.

Doritis pulcherrima var. coerulea x self
These are new to Parkside and are blooming size. Flowers are a lovely blue. Ours are in 4 inch pots for $25.
 

Doritaenopsis Formosa Cranberry
Ours are in 3.5 inch pots for $22.
 

Doritaenopsis Sogo Vivien
White flowers suffused in lavender with pronounced lavender/magenta stripes. Spectacular foliage on this plant. The outside of the deep green leaves are outlined in creamy white. Ours are in 3.5 inch pots for $22.
 

Phalaenopsis bellina var alba ('NG' x  self)
The alba form of the above. Plants are in 4" pots and are $25

 

Phal. cochlearis

Plant blooms from Spring to Summer with 4 to 5 cm flowers. This species was first collected in Sarawak by Robert Kho who sent the plants to Kew, where they were described in cultivation in 1964 by Holttum. Plants grow in limestone in the forest of Malaysia and Sarawak, Borneo at elevations of 450 to 700 meters. Grow in warm conditions. Pot in medium fir bark and keep in partial shade. Water about once a week. Keep plant fairly moist but not wet. Ours are in 4 inch pots for $25. Out of Stock

 

Phal Cornu-cervi 'Red'
The  red form of Phal. cornu-cervi, this form of the species is distinct in its solid suffusion of red pigment over the flower. These plants can flower and re-flower on the same flattened spikes for several years, so donít remove them until they have turned brown. A fully mature plant can carry over 6 flowering spikes of fragrant flowers at a time, each spike blooming several times during a single year. Very Highly Recommended! Ours are in 3 inch pots for $25.
  

Phalaenopsis deliciosa aka Kingidium deliciosum
A miniature plant found in Asia, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines in forests at elevations below 600.  It is a temperature tolerant epiphyte which grows best mounted. It blooms on a branching, many flowered inflorescence with the sequentially opening flowers facing all directions occurring at any time and more than once a year if well grown. Blooming size plant in a 3 or 3.5 inch pot, $30.


Phalaenopsis equestris
Found from the Philippines and southern Taiwan as a small sized epiphyte. It is a hot growing with oblong leaves that is highly adaptable to various environments and is easy to grow. This species has a habit of making keikis and can rebloom out of old spikes and can continue to send off branches so they are best left uncut.  Flowers are possible at almost any time of the year although the peak is Sept. through April on a 12" long inflorescence with small, purple bracts and successive opening flowers. This is the lavender form. Blooming sized plant in 3 inch pot, $20
 

 

Phalaenopsis fuscata
This small to medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte is found in the shady lowland and hill forests of Sumatra, Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo and the Philippines. This species produces yellow flowers with orange brown barring, and the lip is unusual. The sepals tend to be rolled backwards and are cupped. The fragrant, waxy flowers are produced in the spring and summer.  Blooming size plant in 4 inch pots, $30. 
 

Phalaenopsis gigantea x sib
As the name implies, this grows to be a LARGE Phalaenopsis. The flowers are white with reddish-lavender markings in 5 inch pots, leaf span is 8-10",  $50.

Phalaenopsis hieroglyphica
This species is a medium sized, pendant growing epiphyte found in the hot, humid, shady, forests the Philippines on the islands of Polillo and Palawan. Blooms in the spring producing long-lasting, glossy, showy, simultaneously opening flowers.  If the inflorescence if still green and undamaged it can re-flower year after year.  Blooming size plant in 3.5 inch pots, $30.
 

Phalaenopsis hookeriana (aka Kingidium hookeriana)
A miniature found throughout Asia in forests at elevations below 600.  It is a temperature tolerant epiphyte which grows best mounted. It blooms on a branching, many flowered inflorescence with sequentially opening flowers facing all directions and occurring at any time. Will bloom more than once a year if well grown. Blooming size plant in a 3 or 3.5 inch pot, $30.
 

Phalaenopsis javonica x sib
This small to medium sized, warm to hot grower is found in the high elevations of Java. It does well in low light and puts out a 10" spike bearing fleshy cupped flowers in the spring. This blooming size plant in a 4" pot is available for $25.

 

Phalaenopsis lueddemanniana
This small to medium sized, hot growing, epiphyte is found in the Philippines at low elevations.  Culturally it does best in  a hot environment with plenty of water year round and low levels of light. This species has 3 to 5, fragrant, long lasting, fleshy, waxy flowers (a yellow  or red color form) and blooms in the spring through summer.  Leave green viable inflorescence since they are likely to bloom again.  Blooming size plant in 4.5 inch pot, $35.
 

Phaleanopsis leucorrhoda
Found in the Philippines, it is said to be a natural hybrid between P aphrodite and P schilleriana by Kew and others but the species occurs hundreds of miles north of P schilleriana habitat and is found at elevations way above the habit of P aphrodite. It flowers in the spring and has a faint pink flush to the petals. Ours are in 3.5 inch pots for $25.

Phalaenopsis mannii x sib ('JG' x 'Black')
This pendulous growing epiphyte is found through the eastern Indian Himalayas, Assam, Nepal, Bhutan, Sikkim, Myanamar, southern China and Vietnam. Grow warm, and  shady with a distinctly drier winter rest that helps initiate spring blooming. Fragrant, waxy, long-lived flowers appear in succession. This is the typical form with a yellow ground color and brown markings. This species blooms in the spring. Blooming size plant in 3.5  inch pot, $25

Phalaenopsis mannii x sib  (aurea form)
This grex may not be typical and may have much more yellow color in the background. Blooming size plant in 3 inch pot, $20

Phalaenopsis mariae
This is a species native to Borneo and the Philippines. These plants will have evergreen stems of waxy cream blooms with vibrant burgundy-red barring and a matching lip. Plants are compact with glossy, bright green foliage. They are grown best in low light and moderate temperatures. Blooming season will be spring-summer. Plants in 4 inch pot, $25.
 

Phalaenopsis stuartiana
Found in the Philippines, this Spring bloomer will amaze you with up to 100 5-9cm fragrant, white flowers! Grow in warm temperatures. Pot in medium fir bark and keep in partial shade. Water about once a week. Keep plant fairly moist but not wet. Ours are in 4 inch pots for $30.

  

Phalaenopsis tetraspis
Found in Sumatra, the Andaman Islands and Nicobar islands near sea level.  It is medium sized, hot growing epiphyte which blooms in the Spring on a many flowered inflorescence.  The flowers are fleshy, glossy, and fragrant.  Blooming size plant in 3.5 inch pot, $30
 

Phalaenopsis venosa
This medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte is found in the Celebes Islands in Indonesia at low elevations. The inflorescence is branched and produces a few flowers which open successively. The ochre colored flowers have an unpleasant fragrance, described as crushed centipede??. The habitat for this species is wet year round so water and fertilize year round. Blooming size plant in 3 inch pot, $25.
