The following Ad will appear in Orchids Magazine in September 2009.

      Yes, Parkside Orchid Nursery is for sale.   But, it is most certainly not going out of business.  In fact, we plan to operate our nursery at least until 2015 unless we have an opportunity to sell.

     We have been pleased and somewhat surprised to have the success that we have had with Parkside.  But that success has required tremendous commitment and hard work, 7 days a week for almost 20 years.  At this stage in our lives we are looking for the time and opportunity to pursue other interests and opportunities.
     Our business has been at its most successful in the past 5 years and we feel that this is the best time to offer Parkside for sale.  Why wait until we have gotten older and less successful?   There are many new opportunities for expansion and development within our industry, but honestly, we don’t have the energy or desire to embark on new ventures.  It is time for someone to take what we have done in the past 20 years and take it forward for another 20 years.  There is a significant opportunity to build on what we have done here and move this business forward in new and more inventive directions.
