Jack's Professional Orchid Well Water
Fertilizer (16-4-20-3-1
Designed for orchids grown with average or
moderate alkalinity waters. This low phosphorus formula utilizes the lates
orchid nutrition research. It contains all nutrients essential for orchid
growth including calcium and magnesium, two nutrients that are frequently
missing in irrigation waters and traditional fertilizers. Jack's
Professional 16-4-20 is neutral formulation that will not raise or lower
the pH of the growing medium with constant use. Research has demonstrated
that best orchid growth is achieved when the final irrigation solution has
a 6.6 pH. Citric acid (sold separately) may be added to this product to achieve this desired

Jack's Professional Orchid RO Water
Fertilizer (12-3-15-7-2)This fertilizer
is designed for continuous liquid feeding of orchids with very low
alkalinity waters such as reverse osmosis (RO) water, rainwater, and
distilled water. Formulated utilizing the latest orchid nutrition
research, this low hosphorus formula contains all the nutrients essential
for orchid growth. Very low alkalinity waters are subject to drops in pH
that may have an adverse effect on plant growth. For this reason, we
recommend the use of Jack's Professional pH Adjuster plus (sold
separately) to achieve a finished solution with the orchid-preferred range
of pH 6.0-6.5. |

Dynamite (13-13-13)
The elements in this fertilizer have
been coated with a polymer resin to ensure their slow release into the
medium. It is labeled for 6 month timed release and appropriate for
"flowers and vegetables". With orchids it appears to be more effective

SUPERthrive
The label on this bottle reads like it's
advertising snake oil but we have tons of customers who swear by it. Two
ingredients are listed, Vitamin B-1 and 1-Naphthyl acetic acid. Part of the label reads,
"Unique, normalizing vitamins-hormones for easier plant success.
Nothing is at all 'like SUPERthrive. Warning by requests: refuse substitutes
fraudulently claimed similar, actually cheaply-made, unbalancing, often 99.5% water."

Is a copper based bactericide and
fungicide. The pathogens listed are quite extensive and orchids are
specifically mentioned with rates given for the treatment of Botrytis,
Erwinia, Pseudomonas, and Xanthomonas. Precautionary statements are also
extensive and extreme care must be taken when applying this product. Two

Fir Bark Mixes are made from
various sizes of fir bark, charcoal, and perlite. The Phalaenopsis
mix has a premium grade chunky peat moss from Canada. A 0.1 cubic foot
bag will repot 13-3 inch pots, 6-4 inch pots, or 3-5 inch pots. A
0.43 cubic foot bag will repot approximately 50-3 inch pots, 24-4 inch
pots, 8-5 inch pots or 6-6 inch pots. 0.1 cu ft bag, $6; 0.43 cu ft bag, $18; One
