Dendrochilum tenellum One of the smaller
Dendrochilum species with very thin, grass-like leaves. From each
emerging new growth there is a small spray of tiny flowers.
When we had our specimen plant awarded some years ago, a 93 point CCE.
It was estimated that it had 17,000 flowers! Easy to
grow in conditions similar to Phalaenopsis. 3 inch clay pots

This is one of the fascinating species of leafless orchids. Just a
lot of roots creeping all over a cork mount -- until the flower spikes

These species come primarily from tropical Africa, the Comoros
Islands, Madagascar and Sri Lanka. They are generally epiphytic
species and resenble miniature Vandas in appearance. Most
flowers are waxy, star-shaped white to cream colored. A
dominant characteristic is the long, nectar-filled spur, often longer
than the entire flower. Many have night time fragrance.
