Dendrochilum curranii   
This miniature, temperature tolerant epiphytic species is endemic to the Phillipines. Tapered pseudobulbs carry a single apical leaf that blooms on an gracefully arching, inflorescence that carries yellow crystalline-like flowers. Full plants in 3 inch pots, $25.  ts0123-5

This creeping, epiphytic, miniature is found in dry scrub, woods or fence posts on the island of Hispanola and Cuba.  blooms on an erect, simple or branched, to 32" long, few flowered inflorescence that  occur in the spring, summer and fall.  Flowers are fragrant and long-lasting. They do best mounted or in small clay pots, giving them medium light and plenty of air circulation. Plants with 2-3 spikes in 2 inch pots, $18

Foliage on this hybrid is spotted and the flowers taking after the philippinensis parent. In 3 inch pot, $20.

Aerangis luteo-alba v. rhodosticta     One of the most popular species in the Aerangis group.  While most aerangis flowers are pure white, these have a remarkable orange "dot" in the center.  Small miniatures, great for mounting as well.   Our current group in spike are in small pots.  Culture is warm, shady, and good water quality is very important to long-term success.    $25 each. ts112711-1

Phalaenopsis gibbosa     Miniature Phalaenpsis species that grows best for us mounted on cork.  Small plants are rooting nicely and just beginning their flower spikes.  $30 ts1113-2

Angraecum sesquipedale     Known at the Star of Bethlehem Orchid because it has large, white, waxy flowers and blooms reliably for the Christmas Holiday Season.   We have some nice plants, in spike for the first time in 4 inch pots.  Spikes are still tight  $30 ts1104-2

Oncidium cheirophorum    This is a popular and easy to grow miniature oncidium species.  Pure yellow flowers on attractive plants are the norm.  Our season this year is unusual and long.   We have had plants spiking for the past 3 months.  Today, I found 4 more in spike. 2 inch pots for $18 ts1104-4

Dendrochilum tenellum    One of the smaller Dendrochilum species with very thin, grass-like leaves.  From each emerging new growth  there is a small spray of tiny flowers.  When we had our specimen plant awarded some years ago, a 93 point CCE. It was estimated that it had 17,000 flowers!    Easy to grow in conditions similar to Phalaenopsis.  3 inch clay pots  $25. ts1022-1

Dendrobium Mini Snowflake (aberrans x johnsoniae)  A great miniature producing multiple clusters of mini white flowers that are very long lasting.  They grow best for us in intermediate conditions with bright light.  They are just beginning to spike now.  $25 ts1022-4

Chiloschista segawai    Asian Ghost Orchid.   This is one of the fascinating species of leafless orchids.  Just a lot of roots creeping all over a cork mount -- until the flower spikes appear and they produce beautiful sprays of cream colored flowers.   We have excellent plants and all are just beginning to spike.  They have been the heartiest of any ghost orchids we've ever grown.  $25. ts1016-2

Neostylis Pinky 'Starry Nights'    Another miniature vandaceous mericlone plant.   In the style of Neo. Lou Sneary and things like this.  We grow them in 4 inch clay pots and they surprised me by starting to spike now.  I thought they might have needed to get a little bit bigger!   $25. ts1016-3

Aerangis fastuosa
A dwarf, hot growing,  epiphytic species from Madagascar growing on  twigs and small branches.  The flowers are large, long lasting and fragrant at night. Plants are mounted and $20. ts0618-2

These species come primarily from tropical Africa, the Comoros Islands, Madagascar and Sri Lanka.  They are generally epiphytic species and resenble miniature Vandas in appearance.   Most flowers are waxy, star-shaped white to cream colored.   A dominant characteristic is the long, nectar-filled spur, often longer than the entire flower.  Many have night time fragrance.   They are not difficult to grow!  ts1003-7
